The Toddler Community caters to the needs of children aged 18 months to 36 months offering a tailored space for activities that foster age-appropriate development. This environment comprises two main components: practical life exercises and language acquisition.
Practical life exercises encompass everyday activities that toddlers naturally enjoy engaging in. These activities play a crucial role in enhancing the child’s concentration, focus, and motor skills, while also nurturing their quest for independence. Examples of such activities include sweeping, caring for plants, preparing food, washing windows, and toilet awareness.
Language acquisition is facilitated through various means, including storytelling, books, songs, picture cards, and interactive conversations with both peers and adults. These avenues serve to introduce and reinforce language skills in an engaging and supportive setting.
Mountainview Montessori is committed to providing the highest quality learning environment for children. We have implemented a “prepared environment” here at Mountainview Montessori for all the children to have an opportunity to be successful and exceed their fullest potential.
The Montessori Method was developed in the 1900´s by Dr. Maria Montessori. She based her method on the premise that each child is born with a natural curiosity for life and its surroundings. The goal is to motivate and stimulate a child´s natural desire to learn.
We create an environment for children to grow, develop, and apply their skills to everyday life. From problem solving, to taking the initiative, we make sure we nurture children every step of the way. We are positive that we will make a difference to benefit your child.
